San Diego, CA—November 2011—SweetLabs, Inc., the company behind the Pokki app platform and OpenCandy advertising network, today announced that it will host and sponsor “10 Startups, $100 Million in Funding, 100 New Jobs” (www.startupsarebetter.com) on December 1st at the company’s headquarters in downtown San Diego.
The event, featuring SweetLabs and nine other innovative San Diego tech startups, is free for qualified local product managers, developers and designers interested in job opportunities at San Diego’s hottest startup companies. The evening will kick-off with a fireside chat between San Diego entrepreneur Michael Robertson, founder of a number of successful tech startups including MP3.com, Linspire, and Gizmo5, and Joe Kraus, founder of Excite and JotSpot and currently a partner at Google Ventures. Following the discussion, attendees will have the chance to network with representatives from 10 San Diego tech startup companies over gourmet appetizers and a hosted bar.

Participating companies will be announced on the event website in the coming weeks, and representatives from each company will host a table with information on their products and job openings. The party will kick off at 6:00 PM on December 1 at SweetLabs offices at 510 Market Street. Qualified attendees can register to attend online at www.startupsarebetter.com.
